Getting There
Note: the Google Map above is interactive. Use the controls in the upper left corner to zoom in or out, or slide the map around with your mouse to see the relationship of La Gomera to other locales nearby
There are no direct flights to La Gomera (one of the reasons why it is still unspoilt). Flights to Tenerife (South) are plentiful and fairly cheap, depending on season of travel. At peak times, such as Christmas and school holidays it is advisable to book well in advance. The flight time is approx. 4 hrs and from Tenerife it’s a short hop on one of the regular ferries to La Gomera, (which leave from Los Christianos – 15 mins by taxi from the airport).
Alternatively, you can fly to Tenerife North or Gran Canaria and from there Binfer Canarias operates an 18-seater service to La Gomera.
You can usually rent a car via the travel agent or airline. You can either choose to pick up the car from Tenerife airport and take it onto the seacat or ferry to La Gomera, or you can pick up the car at the ferry terminal in San Sebastian on La Gomera.
You can also rent a car in Valle Gran Rey for around 30 euros per day, although a car is not a necessity because of the apartment’s central location. Alternatively, there are taxis or a local bus from the airport to the ferry port at Los Christianos (15km – 15 min taxi/40mins bus), and a regular bus or taxi service to take you from San Sebastian to Valle Gran Rey on La Gomera.
There are two ferry services from Tenerife to La Gomera: Armas at navieraarmas.com and Fred Olsen at fredolsen.es.

Once I decide that I want to go, what do I do next?
When you know the dates that you would like to stay at Tres Palmeras, contact us to check availability. We will then hold these dates for you (usually for one week) whilst you arrange your flights.
You may need to consider sailing times when you book a flight, because if you arrive too late for the last Seacat (8.00 or 8.30pm) you will have to stay at Los Christianos overnight. Please check sailing times as they change according to season.
If this is the case, let me know and I will supply you with some hotel addresses. (The same applies on your return journey with the earliest sea-cat departing San Sebastian around 7.30/8am, or Fred Olsen from Valley Gran Rey at 6.35am).
Once your flights are booked, a deposit of 25% (non-returnable) of the total accommodation cost is required to confirm your reservation. The balance is due eight weeks before departure, or at the time of booking if your departure date is less than eight weeks away. Once this is received, we will forward the key, directions to the apartment together with our local caretaker contact details, map and ferry/bus timetables.
